BRUNO

  • Species: TRICERATOPS (“tri-CER-ra-tops”)
  • Family: CERATOPSIDAE
  • Diet: Herbivore

Triceratops literally means Three Horned Face! Built in similar posture to that of a Rhinoceros, it is believed Triceratops could run just as fast, clocking upwards of 30MPH! Triceratops were up to 30 ft in length and weighed as much as a truck (5 tons)! They lived in the mid to north-west of North America.

RUBY

  • Species: TYRANNOSAURUS REX (“tie-RAN-oh-SAW-rus”)
  • Family: TYRANNOSAURUS
  • Diet: Carnivore

Tyrannosaurus literally means Tyrant Lizard King! T-Rex were no small reptile, weighing over 7 tons and over 40 ft in length. Contrary to speculation, T-Rex was covered in scales and not feathers. Its bite was like no other. In fact, it had the strongest bite of any creature ever! They could run over 18MPH.

  • Species: BRONTOSAURUS (“BRONT-uh-SAWR-us”)
  • Family: SAUROPOD
  • Diet: Herbivore

Brontosaurus literally means Thunder Lizard! Their nostrils were located on the top of their heads. Some paleontologists believe they had a life span up to and even over 100 years. Massive creatures. Brontosaurus grew up to 72 FT in length and weighed up to 17 tons! They sometimes ate stones to help grind up and digest unchewed plant matter in their stomach.

  • Family: THYREOPHORANS
  • Diet:Herbivore

Ankylosaurus literally means Fused Lizard! Known for its club shaped boney tail, paleontologists believe they could swing their tail with enough force to break the bones of a predator. Truly the creature of protection, they even had small plates that protected their eyelids. Because they were built to protect, this made them very slow, running only at up to 6MPH. They reached weights between 2 to 8 tons and lengths up to 26 ft.

GEORGE

  • Species: STEGOSAURUS (“STEG-uh-SAWR-us”)
  • Family: THYREOPHORANS
  • Diet: Herbivore

Stegosaurus literally means Roof Lizard! Apart of the same family as the Ankylosaurus, the plates on its back and spiked tail were a great way to defend themselves against predators. They had up to 22 protective plates on their back. However, their brain was only the size of a walnut! Stegosaurus grew up to 29 ft in length and weighed between 5 and 7 tons.
